Why did my ReelShort story link open the app store?

This guide is available in its original English only. It has not been translated. Read the English original.

You chose a drama, tapped its viewing link and reached an app listing instead of an episode. An app-store stop can be part of ReelShort’s published promotion-link flow. It does not, by itself, show that you selected the wrong drama. Keep the story’s full title handy so you can check what opens next.

DramaHey is an independent discovery guide. ReelShort controls its app, viewing availability and purchase terms.

Before leaving the drama page

Copy the complete title or keep the DramaHey page open. For example, The Cooking Queen: A Recipe for Divorce is more useful for identifying a story than “the cooking drama.” Note the poster and short synopsis too: these give you something to compare if the app displays similar titles.

Use the viewing button on that drama’s own page. If it leads to a store, check that the listing is for ReelShort before deciding whether to install. The official Apple listing is included in the sources below. A store page is not itself confirmation that the intended series has opened.

After installing, check the screen that opens

If the intended story appears, compare its title and synopsis with the page you started from. If you reach a home screen or a different story, try the app’s search with the complete title. Title search is a practical fallback for locating content, not a promise that the original link’s referral attribution remains attached.

If you cannot find a convincing match, keep the original title and DramaHey page for reference. A title, language or availability mismatch needs checking; do not buy something merely to see whether it is the right story. You can report the mismatch through our contact page, including the drama-page URL and what appeared. Do not send passwords, verification codes or payment details.

A title search is not a referral-code search

RS Boost separately describes a Content Referral Code: its stated purpose is to find the content and establish attribution when that code is searched in the app. That is distinct from typing a drama’s title. This guide supplies no referral code and does not confirm attribution for your account or device. Finding a story is not proof of commission eligibility.

Check viewing terms before unlocking episodes

Apple’s US ReelShort listing describes a free app with in-app purchases and says subscription pricing can vary by region. A free download does not promise that your chosen full series is immediately available without payment or other unlock conditions. If a creator resource offers free promotional materials, that concerns the creator’s materials; it is not a viewer’s free-series entitlement.

Read the terms shown in the official app for your region, including any purchase or renewal conditions, before confirming. DramaHey does not set those terms. You can return to the original drama page at any point to check the title and synopsis again.
