The story
Enslaved Ember finds that the feared creature imprisoned in the abyss is the dragon warlord Jax. Freeing him overturns the power that held them down and binds their futures through an ancient pact. Her own silver light then emerges alongside his strength, changing the struggle from escape into a challenge against the ruling empire.
